[Durkee / Poor family documents, 1783-1937].

Photocopies of an assorted group of records concerning the Durkee and Poor families. The first item (leaves 1-4) is a letter to Capt Benjamin Durkee at New London written by Joseph Burham of Ashford March 15, 1783. The second item is (leaves 5-6) is a "receipt for curing ring-bone on horses" by Solomon Durkee. Leaves 7-12 are four letters from 1853, 1854 and 1856 concerning the Revolutionary War pension claim of Captain Benjamin Durkee. The seventh item (leaves 13-19) is a copy of the John and Electa (Scofield) Poor family record, 1808-1926. John Poor and family lived in Morristown and Stowe, Vermont. Reminiscences of Mary E (Poor) Webster written down on Nov 7 1937 (by the donor?) is the last item (leaves 20-23).
